Day 3

On Sunday morning, one of the first things to catch my eye as I looked off from the balcony of our hotel was...A DOG SITTING ON THE PEAK OF A ROOFTOP!!! There is no spiritual significance as far as I know, but hey... it's a dog on a rooftop. I just thought it should be shared.

After taking a picture of the dog, I joined the team for breakfast and devotions.

Then, we headed out in smaller teams to worship and serve with our local church assignments. My roomate and our team leader were assigned to "Lumen Baptist Church" in the city of "Coatepec." Lumen Church is only 2 years old and is one of only 13 Christian (Protestant) churches in the entire city. I was so blessed as we joined this church in their building, which was a simple upper room approximately 20'x20'.

After worshiping together on song and teaching, everyone moved the instruments and chairs aside in order to turn the room into a fellowship hall. We enjoyed lunch. Then celebrated the church's two year anniversary, father's day, and someone's birthday with cake.

After all of that, it was time to hit the streets in 2's and share the gospel. As I write, it is Monday night and we have already seen at least 21 people that I know of, in a town that is only 1% Christian, confess Jesus as Lord.
