Day 2

Today began with a wonderful breakfast at our hotel followed by our first full team gathering.

After our overall team of 65 people from various churches heard an encouraging word from Gospel Adventures' founder and leader, George Tuthill, we formed an assembly line and spent the next hour assembling materials for our ministry on the streets this coming week. It was great to see some friends from my last "G.A." mission and begin making some new ones as well.

Later this evening we traveled to a local church where we sang and prayed together with the local pastors and church members we will be serving with.

This was followed by a meal in the church courtyard where we enjoyed "tacos pastores," and conversation with our new local church friends.

It was another good day, however, the reality of the risks began to sink in as my roommate and I talked with our translator about the area we will be serving in. Tomorrow, the challenges begin along with the promise of real rewards. Please pray.
