Veracruz | Day 2 (Pt 1)

So...I have a recurring injury...a pull in my right calve muscle.  It flared up just a few days before this trip and gave me some concern.

You see, a mission trip such as this requires a lot of wallking, not only in the airports, but in the city where we will be sharing the gospel on the streets EVERY DAY throughout.  My wife, who is well informed, kept telling me to GET SOME ADVIL.  It will reduce inflamation and help the muscle heal more quickly as a result.  I neglected to heed her advice.

Pastor George asked me before we arrived at the first airport if I needed anything at the drug store to which I replied, “I need some ADVIL.”  Unfortunately, we never got to the drug store.  The thought crossed my mind, “Oh no, I never got that advil.  I hope my calve holds out.”

As we were going through the first securtiy gate, Pastor George said, “Hey Dale,” and threw a small plastic container of ADVIL to me.  As he loaded his carry on bag onto the conveyor belt, he looked down and there it was...A RANDOM BOTTLE OF ADVIL SITTING ON THE CONVEYOR BELT.  It was still sealed!!!  To add to that there were exactly TEN TABLETS in the container.  Counting yesterday, that is one pill for every day on our mission plus an extra one for the day I am preaching in Austin when we return!

The first advil helped tremendously yesterday, but when we had to walk to Bojangles for supper late last night, I re-injured the calve again.  But I know it is a small thorn in my flesh for this trip that God will use for His glory and He has already reminded me, through an random bottle of ADVIL, that HE REALLY DOES CARE.

To God be the glory!

Bro. Dale
