Veracruz | Day 2 (Pt 2)

It took us a day longer to get here, but we have finally arrived!
We touched down, officially, in Veracruz around 8PM CST.
Our flight into Veracruz from Mexico City was on a tiny little prop plane. 42 seats, 2 seats to each row.
Once we touched down we made our way to baggage claim where we quickly (and successfully) retrieved all of our bags that had been checked all the way back in Austin prior to missing our flights (that in itself is a miracle!), got into a car with one of the local pastors here and got checked in to our hotel.
The hotel is a beautiful little hotel right on the Gulf of Mexico. We can see the light reflecting off the water, so perhaps tomorrow we will be able to grab a decent picture for you. But for tonight, here’s a little picture from our hotel balcony.
We are settling into our temporary home away from home for the next 5 days, and will be starting bright and early tomorrow as we head to various local churches to begin the work of sharing the gospel here in Veracruz.
