Jim Rice Ministries
The Purpose:
To touch people everywhere with the Good News of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
The Mission:
- Revival Services
- Local School Assemblies/ Classes
- Street and Home Evangelism
The Beginnings:
Founder and Director, Rev. Jim Rice, endeavored on his first mission trip to Jamaica in 1964. In 1966 he was invited to join a team of 100 through the Foreign Mission Board. They saw 107 Jamaicans come to Christ. Just one year later he led a small group of men to evangelize both Haiti and Jamaica. An incredible 3000 souls were converted to Christ. Pastor Rice's call has been that of a pastor here in the States, but his heart has always been shared with a ministry to the people of Jamaica. He has led mission teams to Jamaica for the past 42 years.
The Present:
Jim Rice Ministries is not a one man mission. It is a family ministry. Pastor Rice's son, Rev. Daniel Rice, has traveled to Jamaica and/or Haiti for over 25 years; now he serves full-time beside his father as Associate Director. Together father and son continue the ministry to the Jamaicans and people everywhere with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
